May 9, 2019

In gym today, we did our circuits with skipping, basketball and dribbling, soccer, high kicks, wall ball and jumping jacks and lunges.

In Mr. Simmon's math group we worked on Skratch.  We are making a math game.

Tuscany School came to our school to present their Blackfoot stories they have been practicing.

In Ignite today I was building a robot arm with paper.

Today almost all of the groups had their 3rd visit with Wendy our puppeteer.  Today we all added details such as eyes, hair, ears, mouths, hoofs, teeth, muzzles, teeth, feathers, fur, etc.

Mrs. Le's math group is working on subtraction.  In Mrs. Disher's group she read us a book about birds.

Mrs. Cox's math group is starting to focus on adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers.  We are starting to add and subtract without regrouping, using what we know about tens and ones.

At recess, we made up a game called "Doggy".  I played rugby.  I played "Interception".  At lunch, I played on the monkey bars.  At lunch I played with Steven, Omar and Jack.  We played "Pokemon" without cards.

At Ignite, with Skyla, we built a zoo tower and we liked it.

In the Zoo group, we are continuing to research our animals.  I found out that my animal (snow leopard) lives in the mountains of South Asia.

Our students who have been planting during Ignite have come across some plants with holes in them.  They are working hard to discover what is happening to them and what they can do to help protect them.
