Mrs. Low's Glenbow Museum group had another fantastic day exploring the museum and artifacts.  The students were filled with stories and excitement when they returned at the end of the day.  Thank you to all of the volunteers who went with the museum group today!  Thank you to Wyatt's Mom for volunteering in the classroom and for Fun Snack today!

The rest of the pod spent their morning doing literacy and math.  The students are exploring the question, what is a shape?  Can you define what makes a shape a shape?  We have done some art work with shapes and are looking into the dimensions of shapes.  How is a 3D shape different from a 2D shape?  Some of the students today starting inquiring into parallel lines as well.

This afternoon, the students watched part of the movie "Inside Out" to look into the way our brain responds to emotions.

The Zoo group is continuing to work with the app Clips to prepare for their documentary film making while at the zoo.  They are coming up with wonders that they can research about their animals, specifically thinking about what they wonder about their animal in their zoo enclosure rather than in the wild.  You can support your child at home by talking about the animal they have chosen and how their needs must be met in an enclosure.
